Future human evolution

Description

Hi everyone,

Here's an image of a comparison of the skull of the modern human being (Homo Sapiens Sapiens), on the left, while the right shows a skull of what we may look like if we reached higher into evolution (Assuming we don't get all crazy with technology like in robotics or genetic manipulation, because that kind of evolution's overrated!) For a name of this new breed of human, I have chosen ''Homo Lex'' (Wisest man) If anyone can do a "re-construction" of this new species, I'd appreciate it.)

As you can see, the skull of the Homo Lex has a larger cranium than we do, allowing a greater brain capacity. Additionally, these humans have a largely reduced momentum (chin bone), a flatter facial profile and the mouth now houses one less set of teeth than modern man. This is because evolution slowly made greater limits in the amount of space in our mouths. (This is why some people need to get their wisdom teeth removed).

Since humans mainly live in artificially lighted conditions, the width of the eye sockets aren't as big. Also, due to the weight of the skull, the Lexs' neck vertebrae is thicker and broader to support the skull's weight, which also makes makes a risk of breaking it while lying down.

I hope you find my concept interesting and please comment! ;)

Hey, Guyverman,
Loved that this futuristic view of man showed up in my research. I've been messing around with this concept for a bit and I'd love it if you could come up with one that represents true epigenetic evolution. For one, you're spot on with the smaller foreface and jaw. Our faces have been shrinking, without a doubt. And that shrinkage will continue so long as the mechanical forces we have been accustomed to are no longer necessary, like chewing. More and more people are taking supplements instead of eating and blending their food to take with a straw.
The ipso facto of that change is that the airway is gettng smaller too. The palate is also the floor of many sinuses. Without adequate air volume in the sinuses, we will all begin mouth breathing and holding our heads more forward to get more air. This bypasses many of the important structures and mechanics of the sinuses, so we'll be oxygen starved the brain will begin to shrink and have fewer folds. Our fat free diet, will also continue to starve our brains of the needed cholesterol that protects the synapses from one another, so we'll continue to get dumber and have smaller braines. So, smaller heads. Our bodies are getting bigger with padding, not stronger. Oh man I hate when I list out all the problems.
Anyway I'd love a version that has no mouth, just a slot for pills and a straw, that won't close and has a reformed jaw joint.
Chew your food people!
